Parsonage Grill, belonging to the five-star Old Parsonage Hotel, is famous for its intimate, bohemian and clubby atmosphere. The menu philosophy focuses on using the best local produce available to create a menu of sophisticated yet simple British dishes.

Parsonage Grill is part of The Oxford Collection; a small, privately owned group of luxury hotels and restaurants in central Oxford, comprised of Gees Restaurant & Bar, the Old Parsonage Hotel, Parsonage Grill, the Old Bank Hotel and Quod Restaurant & Bar.

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at the Parsonage Grill.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Work alongside the Head Chef, in overseeing all aspects of managing the kitchen operation
  2. Ensure consistency in delivering the Restaurant's high standards
  3. Ensure that the kitchen operates in an efficient and timely manner
  4. Have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate people
  5. Have excellent interpersonal communication, coaching and teamwork
  6. Have a high-level written English, strong IT literacy
  7. Have a knowledge of current Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene and Allergens legislation
  8. Have experience within a similar role, and a 5-star luxury environment

We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 45-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £42,575 per annum, including non-contractual service charge (tronc).

Part-time hours may also be considered.
