Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Kent is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a thriving, family-run restaurant. You will work closely with the Chef Patron, guiding day-to-day kitchen operations and upholding the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service.

Ideal candidates have Sous Chef experience in busy restaurants, a passion for quality cuisine, strong leadership and a drive towards Michelin recognition.

Qualifications

• Proven Sous Chef experience in a busy restaurant.
• Experience at 3 AA Rosette or Michelin level desirable.
• Passion for quality food and exceptional standards.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Chef Patron with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Leading kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef Patron.
• Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation and service throughout every sitting.
• Assisting with menu and recipe development.
• Supporting with food costing and stock management.
• Training, mentoring and developing junior members of the kitchen team.
• Ensuring the kitchen maintains high standards of food safety, hygiene and organisation.
• Contributing to the restaurant's ambition for Michelin recognition.
