Job summary

Warner Hotels’ Thoresby Hall in Ollerton is seeking a Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operation, ensuring stations are ready for service and standards are met.

You will train junior chefs, uphold food safety, manage stock and forecast against occupancy, and support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional guest dining.

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000

What will I be doing?

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.
• Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
• Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.
• Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback

• You will have the ability to create a culture of support and actively encourages teamwork.

• Experience of managing orders, food stocks and forecast against occupancy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and can adapt quickly to changing requirements.
• Good financial knowledge with the ability to manage costs in line with the department’s budget.
