We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our clients talented kitchen team at this esteemed Italian restaurant, wine and cocktail bar in the heart of City of London.

About the Restaurant
Our client’s classic Italian restaurant, wine and cocktail bar is housed in a spectacular grade II listed building where you can enjoy a magnificent menu created by a renowned Sicilian-born culinary maestro. Based on classic recipes from all over Italy, these wonderful dishes are focused on authenticity and seasonal ingredients. Complemented by an extensive wine list and exemplary service, they offer a fine Italian dining experience like no other.

The overseas expansion of the restaurant will also offer the option to relocate to sites further around the globe including Geneve, Middle East, Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore) and the US.

About You
As Sous Chef you will run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and you must be / have:

  • At least 2 years Sous Chef experience within a similar kitchen environment
  • Experience in paperwork, GP calculations, etc
  • Able to work in fast paced environment
  • Dedicated to food quality control
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Experience of leading a kitchen team
  • A passion for high quality food and the hospitality industry

About the rewards
As Sous Chef you will receive an excellent salary of £36,000 to £42,000 per annum depending on experience and training to develop the technical and managerial skills necessary to grow your career.
