Sous Chef

Permanent / Full-time Management, Hospitality, Kitchen £40,190.00 (plus tips)

We’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to work at London’s most exciting entertainment venue, who will be dedicated to the Hippodrome with a desire to develop your career. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and be responsible for the smooth running of the Kitchen, whilst ensuring the highest standards of best practice and service standards are maintained.

  • Natural leadership skills who is able to understand every individual in their team, utilise their strengths and develop them in areas where they require encouragement
  • A strong but flexible personality who is comfortable in an environment with conflicting needs and has a proactive approach to resolving conflict
  • A results focused approach with a desire to encourage collaboration to overcome resistance
  • An organised outlook who understands the wider-context of a heavy workload and can prioritise with ease
  • A pro-active disposition, who is highly motivated and proud of the standard of work they produce
  • An exceptional communicator who instinctively changes their tone to get the best outcome

It is essential that you have at least two years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a high volume restaurant with proven standards and excellent reviews.

To work at the Hippodrome, you need to have fluent English language skills and good IT skills and be:

  • Professional, positive and results focused
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure
  • Forward thinking and continually looking for innovative ways to improve
  • Eighteen years or over
  • Eligible to work in the UK
