A well-established company is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their team in Ipswich. You will be responsible for cooking meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and developing menu items. The ideal candidate should have prior culinary experience, strong food safety knowledge, and excellent organizational skills. This position is full-time with competitive pay and benefits, including discounted food and a pension plan.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Competitive Salary From GBP32,000 PA, Depending on Experience.
Location: Woolverstone, Ipswich. IP9.
Schedule: 45 Hours per week - Hours vary 5 over 7 days per week, including evenings and weekends.
About The Role:
Based at a sailing club which is very busy during the Summer months, but then open only for weekends during low-season (and closed Christmas day). Cooking lunches, making baked counter items, hot dishes for both lunch and evening, and catering for in-house and external events. Must be able to work well under pressure, be efficient and keep their workstation clean and tidy.
The right person will work alongside the head chef, however, will need to work autonomously and oversee the kitchen day-to-day. Will be required to support the head chef in food preparation for outside events, as well as with menu development and any hygiene matters. They will need someone who can be independent on food service months and must be a team player.
