Job description

This Great Hotel on the Coastline with a fantastic restaurant is looking for a Sous Chef to join and help lead the kitchen brigade while creating fresh dishes to high standards for guests.

They offer a variety of fresh food choices for their guests and customers, using locally sourced ingredients. The Head Chef and team have a great relationship with local farmers and fishermen to ensure menus incorporate Suffolk's finest for a range of contemporary dishes.

Main duties of this Sous Chef role include:

  1. Act as a deputy to the Head Chef with all responsibilities as required.
  2. Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized environment.
  3. Assist and produce accurate stock takes.
  4. Carry out quality checks on stock, produce, and dishes.
  5. Respond flexibly to business needs.
  6. Manage rotas and help develop and inspire the team.
  7. Ensure daily food preparation meets recipes.
