Job summary

The Breakfast Club is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support Head Chefs and keep the kitchen running smoothly, even when they are on shift. You will influence the quality and style of dishes while fostering a loyal, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a busy kitchen as a chef or sous chef.
• Ability to lead and train junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain consistent food quality and portion control during service.
• Oversee line during service and manage kitchen during Head Chef absence.

The role and You

A Breakfast Club Sous Chef takes responsibility to control a kitchen that runs perfectly whether their Head Chef is on shift or not.

You will be a positive influence in our kitchens, supporting the Head Chef to deliver the Nation’s Best Loved Caf, while generating a culture of loyalty, opportunity and support.

In addition to being a talented and hardworking chef, you will be ready to take the next step in your career development, embracing leadership responsibilities.

Working directly alongside our Head Chefs you will influence the standard of food we deliver, the environment our food is prepared in, and the financial results that allow us to grow.

As senior support for the Head Chef you will act as second in command, ensuring the professional and commercial success of the kitchen operations is delivered to Breakfast Club requirements.

You will also be actively encouraged to play a role in your local communities through our volunteering program because ‘taking care of people’ is one of life’s greatest skills.
