In the heart of Scotland, we’re set in a 900 acre estate in stunning Perthshire. A home from home, we’ve been welcoming generations of families for 150 years. We have 215 hotel bedrooms, 55 self-catering lodges, 6 restaurants and over 60 onsite activities – including a spa, leisure center, horse-riding center and our famously exciting Action Glen. About the role

We’re looking for a passionate, people-focused Sous Chef to join our team at East, our South East Asian-inspired restaurant at Crieff Hydro. East offers a vibrant dinner service built around bold flavours, small plates, and authentic Asian cooking techniques - and we’re looking for someone who can help us bring that experience to life.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards across the kitchen, supporting the team in delivering beautifully presented, flavour-packed dishes that reflect the essence of East Asian cuisine.

This is a full time (45 hours per week) position and live-in accommodation is available (single occupancy, ensuite, bills included).

What we need from you

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen, ideally with a background in Asian or fusion cooking.
• A strong understanding of Asian ingredients, flavours, and cooking styles — from wok techniques to seasoning balance.
• Leadership skills to support the Head Chef and guide the team, especially in their absence.
• A hands-on approach to coaching, training, and developing kitchen staff.
• A genuine passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

What you’ll get from us

• £37,500 per annum plus a share of tips, estimated£2,000 per annum.
