Job description

Overview. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This position is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a collaborative culinary team.

Duties
  1. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  3. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
  4. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  5. Collaborate with team members to create innovative dishes that delight our guests.
  6. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  7. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
  1. Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant environment is essential.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  3. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  4. Experience in food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members.
  6. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences.
