Job summary

LGH Hotels Management in Chester is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. You will lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, uphold quality and presentation, and help deliver exceptional dining experiences across the hotel.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to manage day-to-day operations, enforce standard recipes, control food costs, and develop the team while maintaining a calm, professional kitchen environment under pressure.

Qualifications

• Senior Sous Chef with experience leading a busy kitchen.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Ability to lead, guide and develop the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in day-to-day management of the kitchen operation
• Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
• Oversee food preparation to ensure dishes are cooked and presented to a consistently high standard
• Implement and follow standard recipes while maintaining food cost control

• Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are followed at all times
• Maintain a calm, organised and professional kitchen environment
