Job summary

A popular restaurant chain in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen team. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a Sous Chef or Second Chef role.
• Experience in assisting the Head Chef with managerial duties.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Mentor wok chefs, line chefs, and salad chefs.
• Ensure food safety standards are met.

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our busy Pho restaurant in Cheltenham.

Our kitchen has a wonderful team of chefs who work very hard and are great at what they do, so it’s important we find the right Second Chef who is going to be supportive, friendly, and hands-on, always ready to help in the different sections of the kitchen.

Salary offer of up to £16.00 per hour is made up of an hourly base of £13.50 plus earnings received through tronc.

What Pho is looking for:

• Hands-on chefs who are passionate about cooking fresh, vibrant, and flavoursome food.
• Second Chef or Sous Chef with minimum 1 year’s experience in role.
• Experience being second in command in a kitchen. Assisting both the Head Chef with managerial duties and being a mentor to our wok chefs, line chefs, and salad chefs.
• Strong knowledge in food safety and managing compliance within health and safety regulations.
