Job summary

Prezzo Ltd is recruiting a Sous Chef to be second-in-command in a busy UK kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and deputising when required. You will lead a team, ensure food quality, hygiene and cost control, and collaborate with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.

As part of Prezzo Italian, you will help maintain high standards, manage stock and shifts, and contribute to a positive guest experience across the brand.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Understanding stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs to support an efficient operation.
• Care about food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• Positive, hands-on leader who coaches people and builds a strong kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and deputise as needed.

As Sous Chef, you'll be number two in the kitchen, supporting your Head Chef lead the team and deputising for the Head Chef as needed. You'll help develop a brilliant team and work closely with your Head Chef and General Manager to make your restaurant a success. You’ll support your Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and with the kitchen rota. You’ll have regular hours at your 'home restaurant' plus ability to pick up additional hours through working at other Prezzo locations.
