Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a passionate Sous Chef for The Belvedere Arms. You will lead a kitchen section, train staff and ensure guests receive consistently high-quality meals.

You will oversee food preparation, stock control and adherence to brand standards, while supporting the Head Chef in their absence. The role offers pension, holiday entitlement and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a sous chef in a branded pub/restaurant.
• Proven ability to train and lead a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Run a kitchen section and lead the team in the Head Chef's absence.
• Order stock, prepare dishes and manage portion control.
