Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a high energy Corporate Affairs and FM Sourcing Manager to join our growing procurement team to help design and implement the sustainable procurement strategy and processes for the National Lottery for the next 10 years, in line with Allwyn’s Social Value framework, as we start to build relationships with new and existing National Lottery suppliers.

Using your procurement experience, and leveraging your knowledge, you will work directly with the Corporate Affairs and FM teams at all levels of Allwyn. In this role, you will be expected to develop & deliver an effective procurement strategy and conduct activities such as RFP’s, effective negotiations of commercials & agreements, and ongoing vendor management to deliver continuous savings, performance & process improvement for the above categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted adviser, and subject matter expert, leading Corporate Affairs and FM teams sourcing and procurement projects. These projects often involve working across multiple products.
  • Lead and own a full range of projects from transactional to complex, spanning all types of categories across Allwyn.
  • For individual procurement projects build, communicate, and implement work plans and timelines. Identify the required supporting efforts, dependencies, or barriers, as well as track and report on progress/issues.
  • Deliver sustainable value by leading negotiations with vendors on the scope of work, commercials & contract, which will involve working with legal, finance, tax and other internal departments.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize value and to deliver a best-in-class supply chain across multiple spend categories.
  • Partner with Corporate Affairs and FM teams to build, moderate to complex service requirements and scope, assist with identifying vendors, manage the entire RFx process, provide vendor evaluation framework and recommendations on vendor selection.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Understand and capture the detailed requirements of each business objective, requiring third party contracting.
  • Source third parties who can meet the requirements, and conduct initial research to create a short list.
  • Run RFP processes end-to-end, co-ordinating supplier pitches, fully supporting the right internal stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Follow process outlined by procurement and supply the procurement team with the relevant data and detail to meet internal governance requirements.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure all relevant stakeholders feed in requirements and are part of the selection.
  • Regularly engage and manage key Corporate Affairs internal stakeholders across all hierarchical levels to ensure awareness of upcoming project pipelines and maintain full compliance with Allwyn's procurement policy.
  • Conduct sessions with the entire Corporate Affairs team, as needed to educate on procurement processes, drive compliant behaviours, and reinforce alignment with Allwyn’s procurement policies.
  • Effectively manage challenging stakeholders as situations arise, ensuring constructive outcomes and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Liaise with the right internal stakeholder to understand whether to extend or novate existing contracts.
  • Analyse suppliers' proposals, score them and award/appoint new suppliers.
  • Contract negotiations and drafting of commercial terms alongside Legal and the internal stakeholder.
  • You will also support the Social Value team in maintaining a positive and collaborative culture across the wider team.
  • Continually assess and promote sustainable and responsible procurement, in line with Allwyn’s Social Value framework, including social, cultural and diversity values in the organisation and throughout the supply chain.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in indirect and direct procurement environments in a buyer or category management role.
  • Enthusiasm in sharing expertise and experience with others within your own discipline.
  • Experience in selecting, onboarding, and managing suppliers.
  • Experience of drafting, negotiating, and managing supplier agreements within Corporate Affairs and FM categories.
  • Understanding sustainable procurement best practices and how to embed this into the sourcing process.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
  • Extremely customer-focused, taking the time to understand the needs of the business.
  • Strong ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative individual with a curious and driven approach.
  • Flexible working approach, and open to exploring categories outside of outlined remit should the opportunity arise.
  • Basic understanding of sustainable procurement best practices and how to embed this into the sourcing process.
