Sourcing Buyer

Working on behalf of our client based in Flintshire. We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Buyer.

Key Duties:

• Supporting purchasing processes to meet business objectives.
• Developing cost-effective contracts and services aligned with operational requirements.
• Driving supplier development, cost optimization, and contract negotiation.
• Reporting and securing competitive pricing across a variety of products and services.
• Managing sourcing tools and processes across the business.
• Collaborating with Finance and Stakeholders on budgets and cost-saving strategies.
• Providing sourcing support across engineering, stores, and other departments.
• Assisting in the implementation and use of SAP to streamline procurement practices.
• Ensuring compliance with Eren Group procurement standards.
• Conducting supplier reviews to maintain competitive and relevant agreements.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

• CIPS qualified or working towards it (or equivalent experience).
• Proven procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in cost reduction without compromising service.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive, driven, and dynamic—ready to challenge and improve current systems.
• Strategic thinker with experience presenting proposals to enhance service delivery.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and building long-term supplier relationships.
• Experience with SAP, Excel, databases, Sage, and procurement platforms.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

What our client can offer in return:

• 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Up to £50,000 DOE
