An educational institution in Glasgow seeks a Creative Sound Technician to support students in sound technology and foster an inclusive environment. The Digital Media Team at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is seeking a Creative Sound Technician to help students bring their ideas to life.

About the Role
As a Sound Technician you will:
• Support and Advise: Supervise and guide students in our 5.1 Dolby Atmos and Ambisonics studios, helping them with both creative and technical challenges.
• Foster Inclusion: Help create a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive community resource that is responsive to student needs.
• Become part of a supportive and creative team.
About You

You may have:
• A qualification at QCF Level 5 (or equivalent) in a related area, or
• Significant relevant work experience in a media field (sound, film, games, electroacoustic music, location recording, sound art, web etc). or an educational setting
• Significant knowledge of contemporary sound technology such as Dolby Atmos, Ambisonics, as well as a thorough grounding in traditional mic techniques and editing.
• Experience in safely using, maintaining, and managing a range of studio and location recording and presentation equipment
• Be able to understand a wide range of student projects that will push the technology in unconventional directions
