Job description

Location: You'll be based full-time in our Cambridge studio with the flexibility for occasional hybrid working, so being within a commutable distance is essential. If relocation is required, we offer assistance.

Your Role: You will work in collaboration with the audio team to create unique and immersive soundscapes for our games, designing and implementing assets at a high standard while demonstrating originality and creative flair. You will take ownership and accountability for delegated tasks, working alongside other disciplines to achieve a shared vision.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  1. Create and implement high-quality sound effects
  2. Collaborate with other disciplines to understand and define the soundscape of the project
  3. Record dialogue and sounds for the project
  4. Integrate sound into Wwise and Unreal Engine
  5. Create Blueprints to define sound behaviors in Unreal Engine

Your Skills:

Essential:

  • Ability to elevate game experiences through immersive and emotionally driven sound design.
  • Create, implement, and mix audio assets to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate versatility in creating audio for various styles and genres.
  • Creative problem solving and enjoyment of challenges within project constraints.
  • Understanding of sound design principles for interactive media and basic knowledge of game engine and audio middleware tools.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine and Wwise.

Your Experience: Previous work experience isn't essential. We are primarily interested in your sound design capabilities and passion for games and game audio.

Essential:

  • Demo reel showcasing your best sound design.
