Please note: This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid position based in our Guildford Studio, offering flexibility with a combination of in-studio and remote workdays. Permanent remote work is not available for this position.

Your Mission

Sledgehammer Games is looking for a passionate and experienced Sound Designer to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. You will be involved in virtually every aspect of game audio content development alongside one of the most passionate and experienced audio teams in the industry.

  • Interactive and linear sound effects design.
  • Audio asset implementation.
  • Field recording.
  • Music editing.
  • Audio tools & run-time systems design collaboration.

Player Profile

  • Demonstrated creative and technical achievements in sound design.
  • Prior working experience in game audio development – able to demonstrate this experience with a portfolio/demo reel of professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of audio middleware tools such as Wwise or Fmod.
  • Understanding of PS5, XBox Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Experience with major digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools or Reaper.
  • Solid understanding of technical audio theory and audio engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in audio engineering, music, or similar preferred.

Bonus XP

  • FPS/Multi-player experience a plus.
  • Experience with audio scripting tools or languages.
