Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) currently seeks a meticulous Parts Sorter / Quality Inspector for our Thurmaston, Leicester manufacturing site. The role focuses on sorting and inspecting parts to prevent non-conforming products from reaching customers, with attention to drawings and documentation.

Ideal candidates will read engineering drawings, operate inspection tools, and maintain accurate records in the Syteline system.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• Good organisational and paperwork completion skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to lift up to 15 kg when required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect parts to ensure no non-conforming products are supplied to customers.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Use a range of measuring equipment including: Micrometres
• Vernier Calipers
• Shadowgraphs
• Gap & Under Head Gauges
• Complete all required inspection and production documentation accurately.
• Verify that manufacturing processes have been completed correctly and that operations have been booked accordingly.
• Record conforming and non-conforming parts using the Syteline system.
• Identify and prioritise urgent production batches requiring inspection.
• Maintain quality standards and follow company procedures at all times.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Parts Sorter / Quality Inspector Required

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Sorter / Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Thurmaston, Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality inspection, or production environments who takes pride in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers.
