Job summary

GI Group Main Account in Thurmaston, Leicester, is seeking a reliable Parts Sorter / Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.

This role suits someone with experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality inspection or production environments who ensures products meet high quality standards. Responsibilities include sorting and inspecting parts, reading technical drawings, using measuring equipment, and completing inspection records.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 15 kg when required.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect parts to ensure no non-conforming products are supplied to customers.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Use a range of measuring equipment including: Micrometres
• Complete all required inspection and production documentation accurately.
• Verify that manufacturing processes have been completed correctly and that operations have been booked accordingly.
• Record conforming and non-conforming parts using the Syteline system.
• Identify and prioritise urgent production batches requiring inspection.
• Maintain quality standards and follow company procedures at all times.

Parts Sorter / Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Thurmaston, Leicester.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect parts to ensure no non-conforming products are supplied to customers.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Use a range of measuring equipment including:Micrometres
• Complete all required inspection and production documentation accurately.
• Verify that manufacturing processes have been completed correctly and that operations have been booked accordingly.
