An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified sonographer to join the Ultrasound Team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare. Full-time and part-time hours will be considered.
The Ultrasound service is provided on two main hospital sites: Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe General Hospital. General ultrasound services are also available at peripheral sites including Amersham General Hospital and Thame Community Hospital.
The Sonography team performs a broad range of examinations, including general medical, obstetric, and vascular ultrasound scans. The team rotates across hospital sites as required and provides weekend services at Stoke Mandeville Hospital to support AE, IP, and emergency O&G services.
The department is actively involved in student sonographer training and the ongoing education and development of existing staff. The development of extended sonographer roles is strongly promoted by the consultant team within Radiology.
Obstetric imaging is supported by a team of screening coordinators and a specialist Fetal Medicine Unit. The ultrasound department features ten general ultrasound rooms and seven obstetric scan rooms, equipped with modern GE and Canon ultrasound equipment.
The successful candidate will work across all sites and be adaptable to various clinical settings.
