Job description
Overview

You will be a highly motivated professional, with excellent communication skills, initiative and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sonographer with a desire to learn and develop both professionally and personally to benefit our patients, our service and our team.

As a skilled Sonographer you will provide a caring, compassionate approach within our high quality imaging team. You will need to be able to work independently. Ideally candidates should be qualified in general, obstetric & gynaecological ultrasound. CPD is well supported and the post holder will participate in regular ultrasound meetings and audit.

Contracted hours of work to be agreed between 8.00am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week.

Qualifications

The post holder must have either The Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU) or equivalent CASE accredited PgC/PgD, registered with The Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or other professional body and be willing to partake in Continual Professional Development (CPD).

Responsibilities
  • The responsibilities of this post will include being involved and assisting in the day-to-day organisation of the clinical workload within the ultrasound service across all sites and to partake in a continual review of services provided to ensure that it is as efficient as possible.
  • They must be aware of the overall operational functioning of the department.
  • The post holder must have good communication skills and clinical knowledge and be able to interact well with both other members of staff & patients at all levels.
