Main duties of the job

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals, collaborating to deliver exceptional patient care. We value proactive and flexible individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, working across our various sites, including Kingston Hospital, Teddington Memorial Hospital, Raynes Park Health Centre, and Surbiton Health Centre.

Our department offers a wide range of examinations, including abdominal, gynae, MSK, vascular, paediatric, small parts, and obstetrics, allowing you to expand your expertise and grow professionally.

To be eligible for a Band 8a role, you must be an advanced clinical practitioner with more than three years of post-qualification independent scanning experience, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and clinical decision-making responsibility. Additionally, you should possess the ability to manage a complex caseload and perform an variety of scans with proficiency. Managerial or leadership experience is ideal for this role. We currently have an essential need for sonographers who are able to scan paediatrics and vascular (DVT and carotids) ultrasounds.
