Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in Taunton is seeking a highly motivated sonographer to join our dynamic team. You can work as a general medical or obstetric sonographer, or both, with full- or part-time roles available.

You will perform obstetric scans including Nuchal assessments, general abdominal and gynecological ultrasound at our trust and peripheral sites. Our Diagnostic Ultrasound department features modern GE and Canon equipment, a 10+ year training program, Radiologist support seven days

Qualifications

• Qualified sonographer with experience in obstetric and general ultrasound.
• Ability to perform Nuchal scans and related obstetric assessments.
• Flexible to work full- or part-time shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform obstetric (including Nuchal scans) and general abdominal and gynecological ultrasound exams.
• Work in line with Band 7 expectations across the service.

Do you want to work for a Sonography Service that excels in its service delivery and benefits from impressive equipment standards? Then we would love for you to join our dynamic and supportive team of multi-disciplinary Sonographers here at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and professional sonographer to join our team. You can be either a general medical or obstetric sonographer or both. We have full or part time roles available.

You will get the opportunity to perform all obstetric including Nuchal scans, general abdominal, gynaecological ultrasound examinations at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and peripheral sites, working in line with Band 7 expectations in all areas of practice.

Our purpose built Diagnostic Ultrasound department has a fleet of flag ship GE equipment, a successful, more than 10 years, rolling Sonographer training program, 7 day affable Radiologist support and dedicated Interventional Ultrasound facilities.

Our refurbished Antenatal clinic is based adjacent to the antenatal clinic, providing Antenatal care to approximately 3500 women a year and has state of the art Canon and GE equipment in a 4 bed unit, providing an interdisciplinary fusion of Radiographer, Nurse and Midwife Sonographer led services.
