An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ultrasound department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital (Pembury site). The unit has five scan rooms in the main department, one in Triage, and one in the early pregnancy unit.
Would you like to be part of a team in a progressive organisation that values outstanding care and staff welfare? We are seeking two obstetric and gynaecological sonographers who are passionate about women's healthcare and highly motivated.
As a specialised women’s health unit, the work includes gynaecology, obstetrics, cancer pathways, and a dedicated early pregnancy unit. We work closely with consultant leads, including scanning with our fetal medicine consultant. This role offers opportunities to develop organisational and clinical skills, with career progression support, especially for those newly qualified. We are actively involved in CPD, clinical governance, and audit.
Tunbridge Wells Hospital, built in 2009 as a PFI project, offers subsidised parking, a restaurant, and a nursery on the Maidstone site with free bus travel between sites.
Flexible working arrangements up to full-time (37.5 hours) are considered to support work/life balance.
The ideal candidate must hold qualifications such as DMU, PG Cert, or equivalent.

Our department performs a wide range of scans including GP gynae, rapid access, dating scans, NT scans, anomaly scans, growth scans, and multiple pregnancies. A dedicated emergency department handles early pregnancy and emergency gynae scans.
This role offers excellent professional and personal development opportunities, including involvement in research projects and training of student sonographers.
