An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ultrasound department at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital (Pembury site). The unit has five scan rooms in the main department, one in Triage and one in the early pregnancy unit.

Job Overview

We are looking for two obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound sonographers, passionate about women's healthcare and highly motivated. As a specialised women’s health unit, the work includes gynae, obstetrics, cancer pathways and a dedicated early pregnancy unit. You will work closely with consultant leads, including scanning with our fetal medicine consultant and have opportunities for career progression and support for those newly qualified.

Responsibilities

• Perform GP gynae, rapid access, dating scans, NT scans, anomaly scans, growth scans and multiple pregnancy scans.
• Conduct early pregnancy and emergency gynae scans.
• Scan patients in obstetrics, gynae, cancer pathways and early pregnancy units.
• Support training of student sonographers and participate in research projects.
• Participate in CPD, clinical governance and audit.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold DMU, PG cert or equivalent qualifications.
• Highly motivated and passionate about women's healthcare.
• Experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound preferred.
