Full-time sonographer required based at our Falmer site, Brighton. The site is a community CDC and operates on an outpatient basis. We offer a seven-day-a-week service with flexible working days.
Main duties of the job
- Operating Sonographic Equipment: Use ultrasound equipment to capture images of organs, tissues, and blood flow. Experience with different manufacturers of equipment is helpful.
- Patient Interaction: Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Provide a high standard of patient care at all times.
- Image Analysis: Analyze images to identify abnormalities and provide clinical reports to physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain ultrasound equipment, report issues or faults to the site manager.
- Quality: Ensure image quality and consistent reporting methods, and adhere to imaging protocols.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related field such as Diagnostic Radiography with postgraduate ultrasound certificates.
- HCPC registration and a clear DBS.
- 3-5 years of experience as a sonographer.
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
