Sommelier Nela London (Opening 2025) Location: The Whiteley, Queensway, London

Following the success of Nela Amsterdam, were bringing our celebrated concept to London

Were looking for a Sommelier to join our opening team and help shape one of Londons most exciting wine programmes.

Nela means pure. We focus on live-fire cooking, high-quality ingredients, and genuine hospitality. Our warm, design-led space invites guests to share good food, wine, and conversation. At Nela, everything is rooted in purityflavour, service, and experience.

Your Role

As Sommelier, we will need you to take ownership of the wine, list and service, work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to offer thoughtful pairings that elevate the guest experience. Youll curate a list that reflects both excellence and accessibility, and train the team to deliver service with knowledge and warmth with a mix of both New world and Old World wines

Key Responsibilities Build and maintain a well-balanced wine list with a strong focus on quality and provenance

• Deliver knowledgeable, warm, and confident wine service
• Support the front-of-house team with wine training and daily briefings
• Work with chefs on food and wine pairings
• Manage supplier relationships and wine stock
• Maintain high standards across service, cleanliness, and guest experience
• Stay up to date with wine trends and seasonal selections
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant
• WSET qualified
• Strong knowledge of Old and New World wines
• A passion for pairing wine with food
• Confidence in guest interaction and table-side service
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Calm, detail-focused approach under pressure
• Pre-opening experience is a bonus
