Job summary

The Roof Gardens is a social club in the sky, 100 feet above Kensington, London. We are seeking a confident Sommelier to join our vibrant front-of-house team, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless, welcoming experience from start to finish.

As a Sommelier, you will provide personalised wine recommendations, manage stock and service duties, and contribute to a dynamic wine program that reflects our commitment to excellence. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sommelier in luxury hospitality.
• WSET qualification or equivalent industry certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised wine recommendations to members and guests to elevate their dining experience
• Maintain stock management, service, cleaning and opening/closing duties
• Greet and engage members warmly to create a memorable first impression
• Assist in curating and managing a wine list reflecting excellence
• Design and deliver wine training for F&B, FOH, and Events teams
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

The Role

We’re seeking a confident and charismatic Sommelier to join the vibrant front of house team at The Roof Gardens. As a warm and professional presence, you’ll become a familiar face to our members, ensuring their experience is seamless, welcoming, and memorable from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Sommelier in the luxury hospitality market
• WSET qualification or equivalent industry certification
• Ensure daily wine service operations are carried out including stock management, table service, cleaning, and opening and closing duties
• Provide personalised wine recommendations to members and guests to elevate their dining experience
• Greet and engage members and guests warmly, creating a memorable first impression
• Maintain a deep passion for wine coupled with the desire to continue expanding your knowledge
• Support the Head Sommelier in curating and managing a wine list that reflects The Roof Gardens’ commitment to excellence
• Assist in designing and delivering wine training programmes for F&B, FOH, and Events teams to enhance product knowledge and drive sales
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
