Role Overview/What will you do:

This senior technology Director role involves partnering with the Markets Innovation and Investments Markets Business Controls Technology group, reporting directly to the Head of this department.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Build and deploy analytical capabilities to help reduce risks in the Markets Business Controls function, involving hands-on development of applications, data pipelines, models, and analytical tools using Java or Python.
• Lead technical feasibility reviews and prototype development for GenAI solutions, actively coding, debugging, and deploying solutions with technology partners.
• Define, scope, and implement end-to-end business solutions, translating stakeholder requirements into technical deployments.
• Guide the technical strategy and lead the development of core components, frameworks, and solution deployment efforts.
• Oversee ongoing support for the Markets Investment portfolio, assessing startups and pipelines.
• Support scalability and technological viability assessments within the Accelerator area, ensuring solutions meet security standards and integrate with Citi's authentication platforms.
• Assist in productionizing applications and integrating them into Citi's ecosystem.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to enhance user experience and align with Citi standards.
• Drive client connectivity initiatives, from proof-of-concept to full development, minimizing reliance on business resources.
• Own the end-to-end technological development for business systems and digital assets.
• Manage blockchain infrastructure development, maintenance, and integration.
• Leverage GenAI and AI/ML to automate testing, streamline architecture, and improve efficiencies.

Key Skills and Experience required:

• Hands-on coding experience (Java or Python).
• Solution or enterprise architecture experience within trading, investment banking, or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of microservices frameworks, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience leading complex IT architecture projects and developing technology roadmaps.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into technical solutions with clear documentation.
• Exposure to diverse banking technologies and platforms.

Nice to have:

• Architectural certifications like TOGAF or ArchiMate (beneficial but not required).
