In this dynamic, customer-focused role, you will be a core part of the Account Team working closely with Cisco Account Managers, and you will rely on an extended network of technical resources, product specialists and Cisco Engineering to obtain in-depth technical and specialist support. You will also work with Cisco Partners and Cisco CX to support various customer's lifecycle stages.

Your Impact

You will be a pre-sales Systems Engineer for a major UK Government customer. In this customer-facing role, you will be establishing relationships with both Business and Technical decision-makers within the customer base aligning Cisco's product and Services portfolio to customer's needs and requirements.

  • You will lead with Cisco's mission and strategy, be familiar with lifecycle selling and customer's buying models, and will work across a wide variety of Cisco technologies. You will be the technical leader for your designated customer organization, will work closely with the core account team and wider resources, and will translate Cisco's strategies and initiatives into a strategic plan for your customers.
  • You will work across a vast portfolio of Products and Services including Enterprise routing, SD-WAN, Service Provider Routing, Campus Networking, IoT, Security, Network Automation and Orchestration & Collaboration. You will craft solutions to meet customer’s specific needs.
  • You will be working on long-term, complex and critical initiatives within your customer base and exercising your industry expertise to influence technical and business stakeholders.
  • You will conduct technical presentations, showcase Cisco enterprises solutions and services, set up demonstrations explaining features and benefits to your customers.
  • You will articulate the business value of Cisco's solutions, explain technical concepts and subjects to a variety of audience levels and technical backgrounds, leading with software-based value selling.
Minimum Qualifications
  • You have 8+ years of technical customer-facing experience; preferably pre-sales, or post-sales adoption and implementation.
  • Customer experience and technical knowledge in at least three of these areas: Enterprise Routing, Service provider Routing, IoT, Network automation and orchestration, Campus networking, Data Centre and Cloud Technologies; On-Prem and Cloud Security; Collaboration.
  • Currently hold valid security clearance for UK Government or willing to undergo the vetting process.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiar with UK Government sector and processes.
