Solutions Engineer – Smart Metering / IoT / LoRaWAN
We’re supporting a leading-edge smart technology business as they continue to grow their UK operations within the water and energy sectors. Their solutions combine IoT innovation with smart metering infrastructure, driving digital transformation in utilities across the country. This is a field-oriented Solutions Engineer role focused on deploying and supporting smart metering and IoT systems. You’ll work closely with customers, delivery teams, and technical partners to implement reliable, high-performance solutions that connect environmental data with actionable insights. You’ll have experience supporting the rollout of metering and IoT devices across the UK, including network configuration and on-site installation, and experience coordinating with clients to ensure solutions meet operational needs. You should have a strong grasp of networking and communications systems—particularly low-power wide-area technologies such as NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, or M-Bus—and experience supporting AMI/AMR platforms and metering software. If you enjoy blending hands-on engineering with client interaction, this role offers a chance to make a real-world impact on how energy and water are monitored and managed.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, future-focused team working on meaningful projects that enhance utility efficiency and environmental awareness. You’ll receive training and development support and have the chance to grow into a more senior role as the business expands.
The role is UK remote, with travel to client sites required. The salary is £50-55,000 plus some exceptional benefits.
