Splunk is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our team supporting the UKI Public Sector Sales team, specifically working with health clients in the UK. As an SE, you will be the technical authority on our solutions, integrating them within clients' workflows and tools. Building rapport with technical staff and serving as a trusted adviser is key. You will develop and lead technical proof activities to drive new opportunities, increase product usage, and generate sales pipelines through workshops, Q&A sessions, and demonstrations. Additionally, you will understand your clients' businesses to tailor your solutions effectively for both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong technical relationships within your supported territories.
  • Achieve the ‘technical win’ by moving opportunities from qualification to validation and business validation.
  • Create technical activity plans to help clients validate Splunk products and realize value post-sale.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager in meetings to identify client needs and how Splunk can meet them.
  • Support clients through the buying process with presentations, demos, workshops, and technical Q&A sessions.
  • Scope and execute Proof of Concepts with clients based on success criteria and timelines.
  • Keep your knowledge of Splunk solutions current.
  • Update opportunity statuses in Salesforce promptly.

  • Knowledge of data formats such as JSON, XLS, Sysmon.
Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience selling SaaS or data solutions, or working in sales or commercial environments. Domain knowledge in security operations, DevOps, IT operations, big data, or log management. Familiarity with regular expressions, Python, REST APIs, and container orchestration.
