The Role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a key technical role within Amulet Hotkey’s operations. This hands-on position involves architecting and implementing remote desktop and virtualized solutions for blue-chip organizations across EMEA, with travel to customer sites within these regions. You will collaborate closely with Sales and Technical teams, supporting pre-sales and post-sales activities, including solution design, proof-of-concept deployment, and production rollouts.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
  • Ensure sales propositions are technically sound, deliverable, and market-competitive.
  • Lead discovery sessions with customers and prospects, aligning solutions with business needs.
  • Support proof-of-concept deployments, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with Product Teams and partners to align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Develop and present technical proposals, architectures, and detailed designs.
Post-Sales & Implementation
  • Contribute to final solution design and oversee implementation in production environments.
  • Provide advanced support (L3/L4) during escalations.
  • Optimize system performance, ensuring solutions meet security and compliance standards.
  • Deliver professional services for customer implementations.
Ongoing Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing clear guidance and responses.
  • Conduct system audits and health checks, recommending improvements.
  • Provide training and documentation for teams and customers.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience delivering technical projects and enterprise IT solutions in consulting or implementation roles.
  • Strong pre-sales skills, with excellent communication and customer relations.
  • Expertise in data centre solutions and system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows OS.
  • Proficiency with remote access protocols like Citrix, Horizon, and PCoIP.
  • Background in Citrix, Hyper-V, VMware VDI, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with hybrid/cloud VDI solutions on Azure, AWS, or Citrix.
  • Networking knowledge, including routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Experience with automation and scripting.
  • Support and integration experience with thin clients and client OS.
  • Certifications such as VMware VCP, Citrix CCA-V/CCP-V, Microsoft/Linux admin, Cisco CCNA/CCNP are preferred.
