Job description

Solutions Architect - Unified Communications - Digital Transformation - 6 month contract - inside IR35 - London Hybrid - DV clearance

I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Solutions Architect to support a Unified Communications programme for our public sector client in London.

Due to the urgency and nature of the role, candidates with current DV clearance or active SC clearance and willing to obtain DV clearance are preferred.

You will manage the technical strategy and design for an enterprise-wide replacement of their legacy communication systems such as Mitel, video conferencing, and room booking tools with a single, integrated UCC platform. In addition, you'll shape how these systems are brought together, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with wider public sector goals.

You'll be involved in setting architectural direction, reviewing and assuring technical quality across delivery teams, and making sure solutions fit within the government's broader digital and technology landscape. Working closely with the various departments will be key, you'll work alongside other architects and stakeholders while also offering guidance and mentoring within multidisciplinary teams.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of UCC platforms and enterprise communication technologies

  • Experience managing technical design and delivering complex infrastructure projects

  • Ability to clearly articulate and defend architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Background in public sector or highly regulated environments preferred

  • Confident working in multi-supplier and cross-department settings

  • Previous work within government or regulated sectors is preferred

  • Flexibility to work Hybrid with 3 days onsite in their London offices.
