Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, Telecom or related field.
• 10+ years in telecommunications with architecture or pre-sales experience.
• Strong cloud, SDN/NFV, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) expertise.
• Deep IP networking, routing, security concepts.
• Familiar with 5G, IoT, UCaaS, SD-WAN and related services.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage C-level executives.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced global team.
• Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office.

About the Role

You will be instrumental in designing and articulating complex, end-to-end telecommunications solutions for enterprise clients, focusing on cloud-native architectures, network virtualization, and advanced connectivity services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape, a passion for innovation, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical designs. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and client teams to drive the adoption of cutting‑edge solutions and ensure technical success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive telecommunications solutions tailored to client needs, encompassing network, cloud, and security aspects.
• Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into technical requirements and solution designs.
• Create high-level and detailed technical architectures, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback and influence product direction.
• Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with a significant portion in solution architecture or pre‑sales engineering.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), network virtualization (SDN/NFV), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, firewalls, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with various telecommunications services (e.g., 5G, IoT, UCaaS, SD-WAN).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, fast‑paced global team environment.
• Must possess a reliable high‑speed internet connection and a dedicated home office suitable for remote work in the vicinity of Randburg, Gauteng or surrounding areas.
• Experience with industry standards and frameworks is a plus.
