Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team. This role focuses on the Travel and Hospitality industry, blending business acumen with technical guidance to engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption and help them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology.

You will manage the overall technical relationship between our customers and AWS, lead activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops, and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to influence decision-makers.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate complex projects and align technological solutions with their long-term business objectives
• Build relationships with customers, including the C-suite and Line of Business stakeholders, to establish yourself as their trusted advisor
• Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features
• Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures
• Evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, meetups, public speaking, etc.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to the customer’s outcomes and your interests

What you’ll do day-to-day

A typical day may include preparing for customer meetings, understanding business goals, analyzing how technology can help achieve them, and presenting strategic advice. You may design custom solutions with internal teams, lead workshops on AWS features, or publish blogs sharing best practices. You’ll balance relationship-building with technical work and continuously learn to keep up to date with evolving technologies.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective
