Job description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in system architecture, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a professional service environment focused on customer engagement, solution design, or technology delivery; leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the telecommunications / IT industry with experience creating, defining, selling, or delivering large-scale technology services engagements for or with telecommunication carriers and service providers.
  • Knowledge of network carrier contracts and pricing structures related to Network/IT services.
  • Proven track record in creating and closing opportunities in infrastructure solution areas such as Data Center, Digital Workspace, Networking, and Mobility, including deployments, Managed Services, Data Center Transformation, Network Modernization, and Wi-Fi Modernization.
  • Background focused on Network technology is desirable.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, including CAPEX/OPEX calculations for infrastructure proposals.
  • Ability to understand business problems through effective questioning and to identify key business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; capable of interacting with all management levels.
  • Skilled in multitasking across requirements such as testing, troubleshooting, and support in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for complex or ambiguous challenges in team settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and business visualization tools.

Position Overview:

The Solution Architect identifies, shapes, and builds new business opportunities by leveraging intelligence, business requirements, cost estimates, and solution options across industries. They determine suitable technologies based on client needs through detailed discussions and WWT's offerings. They foster collaboration among sales and delivery teams, align deal structures, and aim for optimal outcomes for clients, WWT, and partners. They mitigate risks, articulate value, and strengthen client relationships, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Work is performed with moderate supervision, following detailed directions, with review for accuracy. Up to 25% travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored recommendations to drive value.
  • Promote WWT's diverse offerings, encouraging cross-business solutions to enhance client engagement and market presence.
  • Coordinate with account teams to align sales and delivery efforts.
  • Build and support solution development teams, fostering growth.
  • Support project scope definition, value assessments, and planning.
  • Design solutions for client business problems involving infrastructure, deployments, and managed services.
  • Conduct technology assessments and develop strategies for future needs.
  • Assist in project planning, resource management, and execution.
  • Define and measure the value of transformations, including business cases and success metrics.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in Solution Services.
  • Present solutions internally and to clients effectively.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and partners to develop end-to-end solutions.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure positive outcomes for WWT and clients.
