Solutions Architect - 6-month contract - Fully Remote

My customer is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to take ownership of the IT aspects of the customer's Commercial B2B (Wholesale/Retail) process area, including EDI.

This role will shape and drive the supporting technology stack, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to design customer-centric, scalable, and reliable solutions that support their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:

• Own the IT landscape for the Commercial B2B process area, including EDI, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth.
• Manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tools and standards, covering platforms and message formats.
• Translate business ideas into technical requirements and oversee end-to-end processes on the IT side.
• Partner with business and product owners to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into robust solution designs.
• Identify and implement process improvements with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring IT drives measurable business value.
• Engage in requirement engineering and process modeling.
• Lead external development partners in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet business goals.
• Oversee solution quality across architecture, security, monitoring, testing, and release management.
• Ensure seamless integration of new digital tools into the existing IT ecosystem.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of architectures, processes, and handovers to operational teams and service providers.

Skills required for the Solutions Architect:

• Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, including Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement, and the Power Platform.
• Knowledge of integration and middleware technologies, such as API management tools and platforms like Lobster.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tools and standards, covering platforms and message formats.
• Understanding of B2B commerce and digital supply chain technologies (DST), supporting partner connectivity and transactional processes.

This Solutions Architect role is fully remote, with potential travel abroad—travel expenses will be covered.
