Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join its London hybrid team. You will design and assure architecture artefacts, take ownership of technical direction, and engage senior stakeholders across complex transformation programmes.

The role requires a strong software engineering background, proven architecture leadership, and the ability to work across multiple domains and tech stacks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering background required.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering applications and services.
• Proven Solution Architecture experience across domains.
• Strong understanding of architecture and delivery methodologies.
• Ability to operate across architectural domains with deep expertise in at least one area.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confident engaging with multiple technical and business stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and assure architecture artefacts (HLDs, options papers, key design decisions).
• Lead technical SME efforts with engineering teams.
• Define technical vision and establish architectural guardrails.
• Support senior stakeholders with cost estimation and detailed planning.
• Work across Architecture domains (Business, Data, Application, Technology, Security).
• Collaborate across varied projects, clients and technology stacks.

Solution Architect

Location: London / Hybrid (approx. 2 days per week)

Salary: Up to £100,000

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background to join a leading technology and consulting environment, working on complex transformation programmes across a variety of sectors.

This is a great opportunity for an architect who enjoys staying close to engineering while taking ownership of solution design, technical direction and senior stakeholder engagement.

The role

• Creating and assuring key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and key design decisions
• Working closely with engineering teams, often acting as the lead technical SME
• Defining technical vision and establishing architectural guardrails
• Supporting senior stakeholders with cases for change, cost estimation and detailed planning
• Working across multiple architectural domains, including Business, Data, Application, Technology and Security
• Working across varied projects, clients and technology stacks

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on Software Engineering background
