As a lead consultant in our Defence Solution Design Authority practice,you will be working as a trusted industry partner to our defence customer andcross-functionally supporting internal business units (Sales, Business, Technology,Security and Operations), key stakeholders and externally facing third partytechnology providers as part of and reporting into the practice manager.
You will work with internal key stakeholders, the customer, and its subsidiarydepartments to conceptualise their strategic vision, capture requirements; todefine and create innovative fit for purpose digital solutions meeting their digitalstrategy and transform the way they can do business.
Underpinned by using robust ICT framework architecture, security principles,methodologies, industry best practices, and customer compliance polices. As asolution architect you will be providing expert solution architecture expertise andownership throughout all stages of the solutions design engagement life cycle.
You will be part of an industry leading Solution Design Authority team workingclosely with other architects, designers, technology experts, business managersand business analysts. As a Compute Network Designer at BT, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure solutions. Your work will support BT’s extensive network ecosystem, spanning cloud, data centers, and enterprise systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement the latest networking technologies that ensure seamless performance for both internal and customer-facing services.
• Enterprise networks (IP Layer 1-7)
• Enterprise network security and boundary protection
• Service provider networks (e.g DWDM, SDH, OTN)
• ICT vendor technologies, solutions, and products (e.g Cisco, Juniper, Pal-alto, F5, Nokia).
• Industry architecture methodologies & languages (e.g TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL, BPMN).
• Experience in using enterprise architecture toolsets (iServer, IBM Doors).
• Responding to complex, multi-vendor public sector propositions and bid proposals based on customer requirements (RFI, PQQ, ITN, ITT).
• Developing solution roadmaps and governance structures in line with customer requirements.
