Role Overview
The Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in the IT Portfolio and Planning, working with Business Unit (BU) Information Systems (IS) teams and BU stakeholders to translate requirements into fit for purpose IT solutions that meet business expectations, align with Group Enterprise Architecture principles and standards and relevant best practice/policies.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
- Ensuring IT solutions align with strategy, standards and industry best practice
- Identifying and assessing solution options and gaining architecture approval
- Scoping and governing feasibility assessments
- Assessing effort, risk, costs and complexity for IT solutions
- Defining architecture blueprints where required
- Defining non-fundamental requirements and assessing their impact
- Providing implementation oversight to ensure we deliver what was agreed
- Providing technical and architectural support and guidance
- Contributing to the definition of strategy, standards, policies and approaches which deliver world class IT solutions
Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include….
- Solid experience and understanding of Solution architecture to inform strategic planning and solution sizing/estimating
- Experience in IT shared services or MSP with a proven track record in delivering IT solutions
- A deep working understanding of Microsoft core technologies (e.g. Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, Azure fundamentals etc.)

- Be proactive and results oriented, while remaining adaptable and collaborative to foster a positive working culture
