Overview

LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairnessin law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.

Pay rate: $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized solution analyst to join our Product area. You will work as part of an autonomous agile team to develop features and applications to meet the needs of your product area. We are looking for a methodical professional that brings expertise in the area of testing, DevOps, database manipulation and other tasks to help the product team move software to production with the highest quality and value. This role requires a strong agile mindset.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure the output from the team meets the quality standards defined by the team.
  • Help the Software Development Manager gathers requirements by managing relationships with stakeholders and contributing to those conversations.
  • Providing guidance on what to build and when to release to obtain as much value as possible, as early as possible
  • Help the agile team to plan and improve their ways of working through retrospectives and coaching the team in Agile Practices
  • Ensure the work done by the team aligns with the wider business strategy
  • Develop test cases, test plans, data file definitions and test strategy for team use
  • Configure automated testing for long term product manageability
  • Act as a liaison between the SMEs, operations and product team.
  • Create and review test cases with stakeholders, Software Development Manager, and team
  • Test execution (manual/automated) as well as defect management.
  • Provide frank observations and recommendations to the development team
  • Create effective and efficient testing protocols to be used across all product lines

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • B.A. or B.S. degree. – preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (ORACLE and SQL Server), COSMOS a plus
  • Strong manual testing skills
  • Understanding of QA process for software development, debugging and release
  • Experience working in agile environment
  • Experience testing APIs (Postman, etc.)
  • Experience with automated testing products, preferably Jest, Cyprus, or Playwright

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have people management responsibilities.

Position Type

The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements

There is no travel expected for this position.
