We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the commercial Solution Expert Manager (SEM) team. In this role, you will work closely with the Trading and Shipping SEMs team and our sales directors to establish new business relationships and achieve targeted revenue objectives across the globe.
This position is based in London and reports to the Head of Global SE.

SEM Team Lead Main Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development - Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing SEM team by setting clear goals and enhancing their technology and technical capabilities.
- Strategic & Operational Planning - Shape and execute presales strategies that align with market trends and company direction, including the shift to the Service as Software model.
- Technical Leadership & Enablement - Provide expert guidance and training on how to deliver impactful AI-driven & Gen AI technical demonstrations that translate complex technology into customer value.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as the strategic liaison between sales, technical, and client teams to co-create effective, customer-centric AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Sales Execution & Acceleration - Support portfolio-based sales by driving tailored proposals and helping secure high-impact deals through technical and business alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing SEM team with clear goals.
- Define and execute presales strategies aligned with market trends and company direction.
- Provide expert guidance on AI and Generative AI demonstrations to translate technology into customer value.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, and client teams to deliver customer-centric AI solutions.
- Support sales with tailored proposals and help close high-impact deals.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a Solution Expert / Pre-Sales Manager in a SaaS company.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a global team of at least 5 Solution Experts / Pre-Sales.
- Experience selling into the shipping / Maritime industry - Huge Advantage.
- Experience in compliance risk analysis and familiarity with its valuation methodologies - Advantage.
- Experience with complex Sales, preferably with AI solutions.
- In-depth understanding of how decisions are made in enterprise dynamic environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, quick learner, curious, and open-minded.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, etc) - an advantage.
- Experience working in a global company with HQ outside Europe - an advantage.
