Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ engineering experience, ideally in automation or logistics.

  • Design customised automation solutions for warehouses and logistics centres.
  • Collaborate with UK and German teams to develop technical concepts and layouts.
  • Play an active role in the sales process by developing system layouts, material flow diagrams, costings, and presentations.
  • Travel to client sites across the UK and occasionally to our headquarters in Germany.

#Job Summary

We are seeking a Solution Design Engineer for the United Kingdom and Ireland. The primary focus of this role is to design tailored automation and intralogistics solutions on behalf of Dürkopp Fördertechnik (DFT). Our customers in the UK include Marks & Spencer, Next, Sainsbury’s, Nike UK, Inditex (Zara), and others. DFT is a wholly owned subsidiary of KNAPP. The position is part of a small UK-based team with an office located near Leicester, working closely with the key account manager, as well as with colleagues at our DFT headquarters in Germany.
