Role description:

The Solution Consultant supports the development of strong technical, functional, user experience (UX), and consulting skills, ensuring you become central to solution delivery. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Consultant Engineers, Product Owners, and Software Engineers, and work directly with customers to fully develop solution requirements.

The role sits within our global business area, Intelligence. We use digital intelligence and deep human knowledge to create products and solutions holistically. We empower our clients with agile, data-driven insights and technologies that complement our sustainable design, engineering, and advisory expertise. We address global challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanization, digitalization, socio-economic disruption, and societal expectations, all aiming to improve quality of life.

Role accountabilities:

• Implement software requirements, configure, and develop solutions involving desktop, mobile, integration, and reporting components.
• Analyze and implement the best user experience for our customers, developing and aligning software role requirements to functional use of our product(s) UI (desktop and mobile), BI dashboards, and reports.
• Develop strong relationships with customer stakeholders to identify and analyze requirements and produce user stories.
• Ensure industry solutions incorporate EAM best practices while balancing design thinking and functionality.
• Build demos, develop data sets, create digital learning content, and enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

Our ideal candidate has experience with SaaS solutions, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to build solutions that delight customers.

Must-haves:

• Experience configuring SaaS solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Exposure to programming and familiarity with basic language constructs
• Understanding of how business processes, technology, and people add value to software solutions
• Experience with application infrastructure types: cloud, on-premise, PaaS (AWS, Azure)
• Good SQL skills with RDBMS like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe)
• Understanding of N-Tier Application Infrastructure components: Web, Application, Database Servers
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and translation in EAM implementations
• Knowledge of web services, APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, HTTPS)
• Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration technologies

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with similar software solutions
• Experience in rail industry or asset-intensive, safety-critical sectors
• Knowledge of GIS/spatial/linear modeling system design
• Understanding of networking principles (DNS, TCP-IP, Routing, VPN)
• Knowledge of J2EE application stack environment
• Familiarity with EAM Solutions like Maximo or Infor
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL
