Job summary

Aspect Resources is seeking a Solution Architect (Secure Communications) for a 12-month contract in Corsham, hybrid with min 2 days on site. DV clearance and Sole UK National status are required.

You will design and migrate legacy communications to IP-based networks, work with military messaging systems, and ensure interoperability with NATO standards. You will produce high- and low-level designs and engage stakeholders independently.

Qualifications

• Sole UK national with DV clearance.
• Experience in military messaging systems architecture.
• Knowledge of MOD standards and military messaging protocols.
• Designing and migrating legacy systems to IP networks.
• Familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions and PKI.
• Experience with NATO interoperability standards.
• Ability to produce architectural designs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-level and low-level designs and architectural documentation.
• Engage stakeholders and provide independent advisory input.
• Support migration of legacy communication systems to IP-based networks.
• Ensure interoperability with allied standards (NATO, STANAG).
• Collaborate with security teams on secure communications architecture.

Job Title: Solution Architect (Secure Communications) - DV

Daily Rate: £#removed#/day (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: DV & Sole Uk National

• Experience working with Military Communications
• Experience of IP Networking architecture and cryptographic technologies.
• Experience in designing and migrating Legacy communication systems to IP-based networks.

Essential:

• Sole UK National
• Proven experience in military messaging systems architecture or equivalent secure messaging environments.
• Strong knowledge of MOD standards (JSP604/453) and military messaging protocols (STANAG 4406, STANAG 5066, ACP127, DOI 103(s).
• Experience in designing and migrating Legacy communication systems to IP-based networks.
• Familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions, Guard gateways, and PKI security frameworks.
• Experience working with NATO and Allied interoperability standards and frameworks.
• Ability to produce high-level and low-level technical designs and architectural documentation.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and independent advisory roles.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of maritime and tactical communication systems.
• Experience with cryptographic hardware life cycle management.
• Familiarity with CCEB (5-Eyes) communication standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
