Job Description:

Join a global IT services and consulting leader as a Solutions Architect to work with the UK's largest mutual life, pensions and investment company to deliver large scale programmes of work (Microsoft stack) across multiple end-to-end technology domains. Salary up to £90k plus bonus, hybrid working from Edinburgh or Manchester.

About the role:

This role will play a pivotal role in contributing to the delivery of the strategy and technical design aligned to architectural road maps across selected key domains for Group Architecture. This role will support the Full Stack Architect to deliver large scale programs of work across multiple technology domain architecture landscapes and will support the delivery of End2End architecture projects.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of major technology strategies for the group, ensuring these are reviewed through governing bodies.
• Inform executive committees and business leaders, underpinning major program design governance.
• Define, influence, and ensure adherence to strategic design principles and governance framework.
• Provide coaching and support to improve and extend the Architecture capability in line with the Architecture Target Operating Model.

Essential skills:

• Strong technical design and enterprise-wide architecture understanding and skills.
• Experience in delivering End2End designs and enterprise application solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of application technology stacks, e.g., Microsoft .NET.
• Ability to plan strategically regarding technology evolution and strategy alignment.
• Strong influencing and communication skills, capable of developing presentations for senior committees.
