Job Description

The Solution Architect provides deep domain knowledge and solution design expertise throughout the entire sales cycle by supporting customer engagements via activities such as gathering requirements, running customer workshops, solution design, developing proof of concepts, demonstrating solution capabilities, specifying deliverables in a Statement of Work, and building/delivering these solutions.

The Solution Architect works in close partnership with the Sales team, who lead the business, contractual, and commercial engagement with the customer.

Solutions and services supported by the Consulting team span the full spectrum of capabilities within the Data and Feeds portfolio. Solutions Architects typically possess a mix of strong technical, product, and customer expertise.

The successful candidate will typically have proven experience with real-time data feeds and a track record supporting the sale of solutions in complex environments.

Role Responsibilities

This role is pivotal to sales and delivery, requiring coordination with colleagues in Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Customer Consulting, Product Management, and other teams within LSEG, as well as third-party partners. The candidate should be an excellent communicator with a solution-oriented mindset, a passion for data feeds, and an understanding of market data trends and front-to-back office workflows.

• Run customer workshops and presentations
• Design solution workflows and technical architectures
• Clarify requirements, and document specifications
• Deliver Proof of Concept including development and integration work
• Participate in product and solution discussions
• Demonstrate feeds and capabilities at client sites and via Teams for pre-sales
• Maintain expert knowledge of real-time data, technology, and product suites
• Coordinate with developers and third parties, contribute to RFP and RFI responses, oversee data coverage checks
• Respond swiftly to customer needs with creative, value-driven solutions
• Advocate for customer needs within the business and product teams
• Lead internal Solution Governance to prevent scope creep and manage expectations
• Coordinate with clients, technical, and operational partners as needed

What We Are Looking For

• Expertise: Hands-on experience proposing solution designs, delivering real-time feeds, and managing infrastructure hosting, content delivery
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of infrastructure, hosting, cloud platforms, Linux servers, databases, APIs (WebSockets, REST, FTP, VPN)

• Ability to work positively under pressure and adapt to the dynamic market data environment
• Knowledge of financial markets and operations
• Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Python, Java
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
• Open-minded, curious, enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Critical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, multitasking, disciplined
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Client-facing experience
• Fluency in English and another European language is a plus
